Culver Park Re-Design and Restoration People that are part of the process become stakeholders in the results. That's Groundwork's philosophy behind everything we do. At historic Culver Park, we are using the charrette (click for more information on charrettes) process to deeply involve park neighbors in the design and planning. We're tapping the talented and creative Saunders students (pictured at right) to give them first-hand experience in landscape design. These student designs will form the initial starting point for the charrette discussions with residents and the Parks Department. After the design charrette is completed, we will work closely with the Yonkers Parks Department to make sure the finished product reflects the neighbors' design. And as in our past projects, neighbors will pitch-in to do some of the work. Click here for Journal News Article on USTA "Tennis-in-the-Streets" Culver Park Event
